Cath Lab 101 Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 October 2026

Cath Lab 101 ("the app") is published by Golden Shutter Ltd. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app.

The short version

Cath Lab 101 does not collect, store or share any personal data on our servers. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking.

Information stored on your device

The app saves the following on your iPhone only, using the standard iOS app storage:

  • the first name you choose to enter (optional)
  • your appearance and text-size settings
  • your bookmarks, guides marked as done, recently opened guides and reading position
  • quiz scores, flashcard progress, missed questions, kit checklist ticks, today's case card, and your daily streak
  • whether you have acknowledged the "For education only" notice

This information never leaves your device and is not sent to us or to anyone else. You can clear your progress at any time in the app (You > Reset progress). Deleting the app removes everything it stored.

If you use iCloud or device backups, iOS may include this app data in your own backup. That is handled by Apple under your Apple account settings, not by us.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, health data, device identifiers, usage data, crash data or any other information. The app does not use third-party SDKs, analytics, advertising or tracking, and it makes no network requests of its own. All guide content is built into the app.

Links to other websites

Some screens contain links to rodnieoro.com (for example "Original page on rodnieoro.com", Privacy Policy and Support). Opening a link takes you to Safari, where that website's own privacy and cookie policy applies.

Sharing

If you use the share button on a kit list, the text is passed to the iOS share sheet and goes only where you choose to send it.

Children

The app is intended for healthcare staff and students, and is not directed at children.

TestFlight

If you test a beta version through Apple's TestFlight, Apple may share with us the feedback, screenshots and crash reports that you choose to send, along with your TestFlight email address. This is handled under Apple's TestFlight terms and is used only to fix problems in the app.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
