About these terms

Leaflet Desk is provided by Golden Shutter Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 12649340), whose registered office is at Flat 104 Chenla Building, Conington Road, London, England, SE13 7FE ("we", "us"). These terms apply to staff who use the studio and to anyone who opens a page on leafletdesk.com. A separate agreement with each centre may add to them; where they differ, that agreement wins.

What Leaflet Desk is, and isn't

  • It is a tool for writing, approving, printing and sending patient information leaflets.
  • It is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. It does not make recommendations about any individual patient.
  • Template wording is a starting point written from NHS and NICE public information. Each centre is responsible for checking its leaflets are clinically accurate and right for its patients, and for approving them before use.

Your account

  • Accounts are for one person. Don't share your password.
  • Use your work email. Your centre admin decides your role and can remove your access.
  • Tell your centre admin and us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.

Using the service properly

  • Don't put identifiable information about individual patients into leaflets, notes or file names.
  • Only send an e-leaflet to a patient who has agreed to receive it by email.
  • Only upload logos, pictures and text you have the right to use. Only NHS organisations may use the NHS logo.
  • Don't try to get into another centre's work, test the service's security without permission, or overload it.

Your content

Your centre owns the leaflets it makes. You give us permission to store, display, print and send them only to provide the service. Template text and drawings supplied with Leaflet Desk may be used in your centre's leaflets. Some icons and fonts are under open licences, listed in the credits.

Availability

We work to keep Leaflet Desk running and your work safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of faults. Keep printed leaflets as your baseline. We may change or improve features, and will tell centres in advance about changes that affect them.

Liability

We are responsible for loss that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for the clinical content of a centre's leaflets, which each centre checks and approves, or for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Ending use

Your centre can stop using Leaflet Desk at any time and ask for a copy of its leaflets. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or patients at risk.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions: rodnieoro@gmail.com.
